7 New Northern Virginia Fitness Centers

From Pilates and yoga to boxing and strength conditioning, these spots appeal to a variety of fitness goals.

By Mallory Evans June 15, 2026 at 7:00 am

Northern Virginia is bursting with new workout facilities, with more still to come this year. Whether you’re interested in basic exercises or want to solidify a personal training routine, these gyms, fitness centers, and pilates studios have something for every athlete.

Barre3

The worldwide fitness brand opened its Ballston studio in January of this year and is designed for all fitness levels. Barre3 offers a flexible class schedule with the brand’s signature workout, an all-in-one combination of strength conditioning, cardio, and mindfulness. Participants can use ballet barre to exercise the lower body and core. The studio provides mats and also offers childcare, according to its website. 818 N Quincy St., Arlington

D1 Training

Located in the previous TITLE Boxing Club at the Loudoun Station center, D1 Training opened its doors on May 16. The company delivers personal training for youth and adults, as well as group fitness classes. Take one-on-one personal training sessions with a certified D1 coach or try small group training with two to four people to build community. Workouts are strategically organized throughout each week to ensure a consistent approach, featuring lower body and linear speed, upper body and agility, and full body. 43810 Central Station Dr., Ashburn

FS8

This new fitness studio in Ballston offers group workout classes for reformer pilates, yoga, and low-impact training. FS8 officially opened on April 18, and its grand opening featured Olympic diving medalist Kassidy Cook who hosted a class at the studio. Choose from three signature workouts, including the “original” for pilates, tone, and yoga movements, “ignite” for resistance training, and “ReformX” for reformer exercises. 4001 9th St. N, Arlington

Onelife Fitness

Ashburn now has two Onelife Fitness centers — the first in Brambleton Town Center and now another in Ashbrook Commons Plaza. Opened on May 27, the new location is over 47,000 square feet and offers cardio, lifting, swimming, and group fitness workouts. A mind/body studio provides barre and yoga programs, and a strike boxing studio delivers MMA-style boxing classes. Some features — including the swimming pool, cold plunge, saunas, and jacuzzi — are still being prepared and will be available in the coming weeks. 20020 Ashbrook Commons Plz, Ashburn

Pump24

Expected to open in late-summer, Pump24 is projected to replace Anytime Fitness at Twinbrooke Shopping Center. The 24-hour access facility will feature professional-grade strength equipment. Pump24 will offer high-energy group classes and coach-supported training for lifters, athletes, and everyday exercises. Other highlights include a recovery zone with an infrared sauna and massage chairs, along with HYROX workout equipment. Signature training includes lifting sessions, cardio-driven training, and pilates. 9579 A Braddock Rd., Fairfax

Studio Zo Pilates

Get ready to experience the first infrared heated mat pilates studio in Northern Virginia. Opening this summer, Studio Zo Pilates offers infrared-heated group classes to help improve circulation and muscle relaxation while exercising. The studio offers four types of classes, including “Sculpt” for signature heated pilates, “Flow” for modern sculpt flow, “Method” for classical pilates, and “Restore” for stretching and recovery. Zo will also provide on-site childcare with a separate room for participants to bring their kids. 7708 Gunston Plz, Lorton

SweatHouz

With its Reston location open since October 22, SweatHouz will expand to Leesburg some time this year — which will mark the brand’s fourth location in Virginia. The studio specializes in contrast therapy, a technique that alternates between a heat source (sauna) and cold water to promote muscle recovery and anti-inflammation. Guests can spend 60 minutes in private contrast therapy suites that feature their own infrared sauna, Vitamin C-infused shower, and cold-plunge bath. 625 Potomac Station Dr., Leesburg
