Great Oak Manor has announced the lineup for its 2026 culinary event series. Beginning in May, the Chestertown, Maryland, boutique hotel will once again host Taste of Great Oak Manor. Held over three weekends, the event features talented chefs from across the mid-Atlantic.
Each culinary weekend includes a Champagne welcome and fireside chat. Programming also includes cooking demonstrations, tastings, curated meals, and a hands-on cooking lesson led by the featured chef.
The series begins with “A Journey to Korea” on May 15 through 17. This features Chef Angel Barreto of Anju, a four-time James Beard Foundation Award semifinalist and RAMMY 2024 Chef of the Year.
From September 11 through13, James Beard semifinalist Matt Adler, the chef-owner behind Caruso’s Grocery, will be leading the Italian-inspired “Fall is for Red Sauce” weekend.
And on October 16 through 18, chefs and life partners Matt Conroy and Isabel Coss of The Popal Group will lead “Love in the Kitchen,” bringing their expertise in Mexican cuisine and beyond.
“Since launching this series in 2025, our goal has been to elevate our culinary programming to new heights, and provide guests with an intimate, educational, and thought-provoking weekend experience,” said hotel owner Werten Bellamy.
Bellamy purchased the waterfront property with his wife and co-owner, Kellye Walker, in 2022. Together, they oversaw a full renovation and reimagining of the 12-room inn. “We look forward to welcoming these esteemed chefs to Great Oak Manor and inviting guests to experience the Eastern Shore through a new lens,” he says.
Tickets are $500 per person and can be combined with a stay at Great Oak Manor. To learn more or plan a visit, go to greatoakmanor.com.
