If you love all things wine, you won’t want to miss the 17th annual Virginia Wine Expo. The event will be held February 28 through March 8 in Richmond.
The expo includes 24 events held over nine days. It features more than 370 wines and 160 distilled spirits from producers in Virginia and other U.S. states as well as international brands.
Two of the major events associated with the Virginia Wine Expo — the Walk-Around Grand Tastings and the Masterclass Seminars — will be held at Richmond’s Main Street Station, a historic, operational train station located at 1500 E. Main St.

The Walk-Around Grand Tastings are offered with four entry times. The public can join with media and trade representatives to taste and discuss hundreds of bottles of wine from Virginia. There will also be wines from Spain, Portugal, and the central California coast, among other regions. The event also features dozens of Virginia spirits, ciders, and meads.
The Smoked! event will be held at Richmond’s Dewey Gottwald Center on Friday, March 7. Presented by Jack Daniel’s, guests can sample new whiskeys, wines, and tequilas, plus a selection of global smoked foods.

The Sparkling & Champagne Celebration will be held at Dover Hall in Goochland County on Sunday, March 8. It includes food prepared by chef Leah Randolph with an international lineup of sparkling beverages and Champagnes from France, Virginia, California, Spain, and Portugal.
The expo also includes a silent auction and a variety of wine lunches, brunches, and dinners. Tickets are available online.
