New Holiday Light Show to Open in Harpers Ferry

Harpers Ferry Holiday Light Show will include holiday photo ops, a hot chocolate stand, and an aerial view of the lights.

‘Tis the season for holiday light shows. If you’re looking for a new display to visit this holiday season, make the drive out to West Virginia for the Harpers Ferry Holiday Light Show.

The display will make its debut on Friday, November 21, and remain open through January 31, 2026. Guests will be able to experience hundreds of thousands of lights and 10 walk-through holiday displays on the trail.

According to the Harpers Ferry Holiday Light Show website, the “show celebrates the beauty, history, and community spirit that make this area so special.” The trail, which lasts 30 to 60 minutes, includes a variety of displays showcasing winter, holiday, and summer scenes that will make the perfect backdrop for holiday photos. The holiday magic and lights will also extend into the kids play area.

For the best view of the display, be ready to climb to the four-story-tall overlook. Guests can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the light show, snow tubing hills, and surrounding scenery of Harpers Ferry.

Santa Claus will make a few appearances throughout the holiday season. He will be in the treehouse for photos on select dates. Check the Harpers Ferry Holiday Light Show social pages to make sure you don’t miss St. Nick.

After the trail, guests can stay warm with a purchase from the onsite hot chocolate stand, go snow tubing, or rent a fire pit to continue the cozy holiday fun.

Tickets for the holiday light show are $9.99. Online ticket reservations are recommended. 408 Alstadts Hill Rd., Harpers Ferry, West Virginia
