Take Your Valentine on a Romantic Double Decker Bus Tour

Tour historic downtown Frederick on an eye-catching yellow bus.

By Michele Kettner February 3, 2025 at 10:49 am

Book a ticket with Maryland Double Deckers to explore the sights of Frederick, Maryland, with your special someone this Valentine’s Day.

On February 14, Maryland Double Deckers will be hosting a one-day-only tour for couples. The Love on the Double Tour is a 45-minute ride through Frederick, with plenty of pit stops along the way. There are still tickets available for the 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. tours.

Couples will be whisked through the historic city on the yellow bus. The tour features closeup views of the area’s iconic and beautiful winter scenes. Catch views of the boats at Carroll Creek and the shimmering holiday lights before hopping off the bus at fun attractions.

The bus will stop at The Perfect Truffle for a delicious chocolate tasting. Riders can also grab a cute photo with the lighted heart backdrop on Market Street. Then head to Bentztown restaurant for complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries at the end of the tour. The tour just might feature a few other secret stops and freebies along the way, too.

Tickets are $70 per couple and include all of the additional excursions. The tour includes a reservation for a table at Bentztown. Additional food and drinks are not included in the ticket price.

This is the company’s first Valentine’s Day tour. In addition to the special holiday tours — including its sold out Galentine’s Day ride — the bus runs three signature tours: History on the Double; the family-friendly Adventures on the Double; and Brew with a View. You can also book private events, like birthday parties and bar crawls. Maryland Double Deckers also has a few new specialty tours in the works for this spring.
