These Dreamy Cabin Vacation Rentals in NoVA Could Make Your Summer

Several regional parks in NoVA have a variety of options to accommodate campers, wedding guests, and families.

If you didn’t get to travel this year, there are still enough days left in the summer to staycate. Cabins are available to rent in a few different NoVA Parks that offer a range of amenities far exceeding those found in a tent.

Overnight accommodations can be found at Pohick Bay, Bull Run and Algonkian regional parks, with rustic and deluxe cabins, or riverfront cottages, that come equipped with basics like air conditioning, bunks, and firepits or include decks, hot tubs, and grills. For the outdoor enthusiast, cabins and cottages offer loads of access to the rustic outdoors, with the added convenience of climate control.

Rustic cabins in Pohick Bay Regional Park (Lorton) and Bull Run Regional Park (Centreville), offer electricity, air conditioning (or heat), and two rooms. The back bedroom includes a double bed and a set of bunks, and the front room has a futon or sofa bed, tables, chairs, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. Rustic cabins also have a front porch with a porch swing, and a picnic table, charcoal grill, and fire pit outside. Daily rates are $95 (peak season) and $85 (non-peak season) and weekly rates are $570 (peak) and $510 (non-peak).

Deluxe cabins (Bull Run Regional Park) sleep six people and come equipped with water, air conditioning, and heat, bedroom, private bathroom, kitchenette, and back porch. The living area has a convertible, full-sized futon, and the bedroom has a queen-sized bed and twin bunks. The back porch has partial water views of the Potomac River and seating. There are picnic tables, a charcoal grill, and a fire ring outside. Deluxe cabins come fully stocked with cookware, utensils, and dish service as well as a Keurig coffee maker. Daily rates are $160 (peak season) and $140 (off-peak), and weekly rates are $960 (peak) and $840 (off-peak).

Riverfront cottages at Algonkian Regional Park (Sterling) are perfect for golfers playing rounds on one of the area courses, corporate event guests, or wedding guests. The cottages range in size from two to five bedrooms and can accommodate up to ten guests. They offer furnished bedrooms, private kitchens, private parking, and decks. The four-bedroom deluxe cottages also have hot tubs. Weekly rates vary depending on jurisdiction and seasonal timing, as do daily rates, which include a two-night minimum for stays.

Reservations are required for deluxe and rustic cabins and can be made online at reservepohickbay.com or reservebullrun.com.
