Hello, staycation. If you’re looking for the ultimate escape without going too far, then we have good news for you: Salamander Resort & Spa, a Forbes Five-Star hotel in Middleburg, reopened its doors today, June 18.
The resort, which sits on 340 acres, offers myriad outdoor experiences (perfect for socially distanced activities) like hiking and walking trails, a culinary garden, an outdoor spa courtyard with an infinity pool, a zip line and a 22-stall equestrian center with a riding arena.
The resort, owned by Sheila Johnson, reopened its doors after a rededication ceremony following its three-month temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The resort’s reopening includes its “Commitment to Well-Being,” a comprehensive list of the health and safety measures it is taking to protect guests and staff.
“We look forward to once again helping our guests make and share memories,” said Johnson in a recent press release. “We have worked exceptionally hard to prepare for the moment we could carefully reopen our retreat, and during our time apart we closely followed the guidance of the CDC, and local and state officials.”
