Air France La Première business customers and Flying Blue Elite Plus members have something to look forward to the next time they fly through Dulles International Airport.
On July 18, Air France revealed its revamped lounge located in Terminal A, in front of Gate 20. The 6,619-square-foot space spans two levels and can accommodate up to 155 customers.
The lounge now offers a new dining space, featuring circular benches and bright furnishing. The dining area will be home to Air France’s Night Service, offered to business customers on the daily 21:10 AF027 flight from IAD to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. The meal is the same in the airport lounge as the one served on board, with a starter, hot dish, cheese, dessert and wine, as well as Champagne.
The new bar area at the lounge serves a selection of wines, Champagnes and spirits, and, for the first time, the lounge now offers draught beers. For dining, Air France business customers will have the choice of three new signature dishes by Daniel Rose, a Michelin-starred chef, which will begin being served in September.
On the second level, light screens mimic sunlight and the color of the sky, with chaise lounges for seating and a snacking area.
Other features of the Air France lounge include an area dedicated to customers traveling in the La Première cabin, an area reserved for Ultimate customers, new kiosks, a co-working space, free Wi-Fi access, more USB/electrical outlets, a shower and a press kiosk offering French and international newspapers and magazines.
