Frank Sinatra famously invited us to all come fly with him to wonderful, exotic locations, but many of us don’t have the kind of funds that Ol’ Blue Eyes did. Thankfully, you don’t need a big wad of cash to travel with some of these deals available from airlines. These special winter deals, with available flights at Dulles or Reagan National, are a great way to satisfy travelers on a wide range of budgets.
Southwest
Can’t wait until the summer months to take a few days off and visit some place new? Southwest is offering an end-of-year sale through Jan. 4, that has deals on one-way travel throughout the continental U.S. from Jan. 8-May 22, or San Juan/Puerto Rico from Jan. 14-Feb. 28, and April 23-May 16. Tickets to Chicago, Nashville and New Orleans are all available at $150 or less.
United
Updating daily, United Airlines has discounts on round-trip flights throughout the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Asia available from both Dulles and Reagan. Some of the best deals include trips to Miami and Los Angeles for $250 or less; less than $500 round-trip flights to Dublin, Amsterdam and Paris; and a flight to Cancun for less than $350.
Delta
Have a dream vacation in mind? Get some help in the forms of money back on that trip from Delta. When you book through Jan. 31, you can pick from more than 300 locations at any time of the year and receive up to $300 off per booking.
Volaris
If you want to escape the Northern Virginia winter for something a bit warmer, Mexico may be a good option. Mexican-based airline Volaris can help you get there with up to 50 percent off bookings made through Jan. 2, with travel dates open through Halloween.
Cathay Pacific
It’s a little late to change up your New Year’s plans, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a different kind of New Year’s celebration, just a little delayed. Cathay Pacific is offering a deal until Dec. 31, for trips to Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam and Malaysia to ring in the Lunar New Year in February. Tickets from Washington, D.C., start at $664.
