Editor’s Note: Tickets for Wolf Trap’s drive-in movies have sold out.
We’re halfway through summer and to say we miss summer nights on the lawn at Wolf Trap would be an understatement. Summer 2020, spent in backyards and living rooms, looks different than most, but Wolf Trap is still making the most of it.
Starting on Wednesday, Aug. 5 through Sunday, Aug. 9, Wolf Trap National Park will be hosting a drive-in movie theater in the East Lot, offering five nights of movies for $40 per car. Each night, the parking lot opens at 7 p.m. and movies will begin promptly at 8:30 p.m.
For safety precautions due to the risk of COVID-19, all attendees must be in cars, no walk-ins or bikes will be allowed and guests must remain in their vehicles at all times unless leaving to use the restroom. Face masks are strongly encouraged when interacting with staff or leaving your vehicle. You are welcome to bring your own picnic, but no tailgating-like activities will be permitted, such as grilling.
The movie lineup includes This is Spinal Tap, Mamma Mia!, Sing, Dreamgirls and Dirty Dancing. Ratings range from PG to R, and parental discretion is advised. Tickets can be purchased through the website, and complete directions and guidelines will be sent upon confirmation. // 1551 Trap Road, Vienna
