Munich’s Oktoberfest celebrations come to ten Northern Virginia venues.

Lovettsville Oktoberfest
Sept. 23, 10 a.m.-11 p.m.
Types of Beer: Three German beers and eight craft brews along with wine and hard cider
Entertainment: Weiner dog races, Porsche car show, live  music, magician, pony rides, inflatable rides, climbing wall, face-painting

Flavors of Fall 
Oct. 7, 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; 5K begins Sunday at 8 a.m.
Types of Beer: 10 different craft beers
Entertainment: Live entertainment (The Low’n’Brows German Band, Alpine Dancers, Dr. Fu, DJ Edward Daniels and DJ Moon Man), Pumpkin 5K and Kids’ Pumpkin Dash

Capital Ale House Downtown Fredericksburg Oktoberfest 
Sept. 30, 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
Types of Beer: 80 taps inside and additional German and German-style beers, with at least eight being local
Entertainment: Live music (The Sauerkrauts, Johnny Koenig and the Fritz Polka Band) along with German food and polka dancing

Vienna Oktoberfest
Oct. 7, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Types of Beer: All beer supplied by the Caboose Brewing Co. with Crossroads Vienna Lager as the headlining brew
Entertainment: German brews, dress and music; moonbounces and other attractions for the kids; adults can enjoy a German car show and local vendors; pets welcome

Fort Belvoir Oktoberfest
Sept. 28-Oct. 1, Thurs., 6-10 p.m.; Fri., 6-midnight; Sat., noon-midnight; Sun., noon-8 p.m.
Types of Beer: Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen, Hefe Weizen and Wiesn, plus Miller Lite on tap along with Clausthaler non-alcoholic beer, red wine and white wine
Entertainment: Carnival, German music, food and drinks and a 10K walk; open to both military members and nonmilitary families.

Frontier Culture Museum Oktoberfest
Oct. 7, noon-7 p.m.
Types of Beer: About a dozen different beers from Stable Craft Brewing with some specially brewed for Oktoberfest
Entertainment: Traditional food, dancing, beer, authentic music and lots of museum attractions

Capitol City Brewing Company Oktoberfest
Sept. 30, noon-7 p.m.
Types of Beer: All brews supplied by Capitol City Brewing Company as well over 65 other breweries
Entertainment: Adults-only Oktoberfest with tons of German-themed food and music

Sweetwater Tavern Oktoberfests
Centreville: Sept. 23, 2-6 p.m.; Sterling, Sept. 30, 2-6 p.m.; Merrifield, Oct. 7, 2-6 p.m.

Types of Beer: Sweetwater Tavern’s Oktoberfest Lager
Entertainment: BBQ style event with live music and eats that include smoked brisket, slow roasted local hog and beer cupcakes from Best Buns
