Celebrate Pride Month at These 9 DMV Events

The region shows its LGBTQ+ pride with parades, festivals, and more this June.

June is Pride Month, which means the NoVA region will be full of festive celebrations in support of the LGBTQ+ community. Here’s where to celebrate.  

Fairfax PRIDE 

June 6, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. 

Visitors at this City of Fairfax event will find activities like free caricatures, face painting, music, crafts, and a story time. Plus, Fairfax Mayor Catherine Read will make an official proclamation of June 2026 as LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. Locations vary in City of Fairfax, free

Loudoun Pride Festival 

June 6, noon to 6 p.m. 

Head to Leesburg to join the festivities at Loudoun County’s sixth annual Pride festival. The day will have lots of fun activities, like axe throwing, face painting, and an obstacle course, plus food and drinks from local breweries like Lost Rhino and Mt. Defiance Cidery. On two stages, see drag performers and musicians perform throughout the day. Ida Lee Park, Leesburg, $5 

LGBTQ+ Pride Month Movie Screening 

June 6, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. 

The National Landing BID is hosting a special screening of the film To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar at the Alamo Drafthouse in Crystal City. The 1995 film is a cult classic about three drag queens on a cross-country adventure. Alamo Drafthouse, Arlington, free 

Pride at Mosaic 

June 6, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. 

Tommy McFly hosts Mosaic’s fifth annual Pride celebration, which includes a story time from drag queen Tara Hoot at 3 p.m. and live music from Hall Pass from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Mosaic District, Fairfax, free 

Pride on the Pier

June 13, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Washington Blade hosts this annual celebration on the Wharf, complete with a DJ, dancing, and a fireworks show to end the night. District & Transit Pier, Washington, DC, free

Caboose Tavern Pride Color Run 

June 15, 6:30 p.m. 

Caboose Tavern and the Trails & Ales Run Group have organized a color run in honor of Pride Month. The brewery will provide color powder bottles to spray during the run. Be sure to wear white for the colors to pop. Caboose will also offer special Pride drinks at its Fairfax and Vienna locations. Caboose Tavern, Vienna, free 

Capital Pride Parade 

June 20, 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

One of the biggest Pride events of the year, this DC parade features colorful floats and music through the city. It starts at 14th and T streets NW and ends at Pennsylvania Avenue and Ninth streets NW. Plus, there’s a Family Fun Festival at Stead Park right before the parade for little ones to enjoy games, crafts, stories, and more. Multiple locations, Washington, DC, free

Capital Pride Festival and Concert 

June 21, festival noon to 10 p.m., concert 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

The day after the parade, Capital Pride’s festival and concert will take place on Pennsylvania Avenue. Expect hundreds of exhibitors and artisans plus food and beverage gardens. There’s live music on several stages, including a performance from country star Maren Morris. Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC, free 

Alexandria Pride 

June 27, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. 

The City of Alexandria’s ninth annual Pride celebration includes live music, a story time, more than 100 exhibitors, and food trucks, along with a mobile art lab. Health services will also be offered on site. John Carlyle Square Park, Alexandria, free
