Looking for fun place to take the kids this summer? These Northern Virginia indoor kid entertainment venues include slides, a space-themed playground, a community-centered play café, and more.

Slick City Action Park

The newly opened Slick City Action Park in Potomac Mills has indoor slides, air courts, toddler areas, a trapeze, and more. There are plans for the park to host themed sessions like sensory-friendly hours and after-hours events with music for teens and adults. Events staff are available for customizable party packages, too. Note: The slides are for children ages 5 and up, and the soft play area is for kids up to age 5. 2700 Potomac Mills Circle, Ste. 104, Woodbridge, $30 for 90 minutes, $36 for 120 minutes, $15 for junior tickets (ages 3 and under), and guests must purchase a pair of CitySocks to enter ($5 per pair)

The Sloomoo Institute

The Sloomoo Institute is set to open in Tysons Corner in July. The venue took over a 17,000+ square-foot space and will house more than 500 gallons of slime. Like its other locations, there are plans for a DIY slime bar and Sloomoo Falls, which lets kids experience a waterfall of slime. 1961 Chain Bridge Rd.

Hershey’s Super Sweet Adventure

This sweet (literally) center opened in April in Tysons. For fans of Hershey’s Chocolate World in Pennsylvania, this is a must-see spot. There is a candy-themed workshop where guests can customize a candy badge to enter a Hershey Kiss-shaped door. The door unveils a Willy Wonka-esque immersive wonderland. There are six candy-themed stations with different activities. 1961 Chain Bridge Rd., Level 1, Ste. A, Tysons, $19.99, companion tickets are $14.99, children 2 and under are free

Happy Times Playland

This 11,000-square-foot indoor playground is space themed. There are neon ball pits, swirly slides, colorful tunnels, and arcade games. The decorations are just as colorful and fun, too, with smiling aliens, cartoon rockets, and astronauts hurtling through space. 1 Towne Centre Blvd., Fredericksburg, $8.99 to $21.99 depending on weekday vs. weekend, membership options available

Cozy Village Play Café

Little ones can play freely while their parents enjoy a cup of coffee at this play café that emphasizes the importance of community. Cozy Village also has themed event days and after-hours events such as a mom’s night out, which includes one drink, snacks, and a dessert to end the evening. 44225 Mercure Cir., Ste. 130, Sterling, $9.99 to $15.99 depending on number of children, free adult admission

Play n’ Learn The Playground Superstore

Children are welcome to play up to two hours at The Playground Superstore’s showroom in Chantilly. The indoor facility has rubber flooring, swing sets, basketball hoops, and trampolines, all best suited for kids ages 2 to 8.
