Galentine’s Day — made popular by Amy Poehler’s character Leslie Knope on the TV show Parks and Recreation — is all about celebrating female friendship. Join in the fun by grabbing your girlfriends and heading to one of these local events.

Sip & Shop: Wear the Outfit With Nowhere to Go

February 15, noon to 3 p.m.

The Fairfax boutique Mode on Main by Mara presents a sip and shop event “for women who love curated sustainable fashion (vintage/pre-loved), celebrating friendships, and dressing up with zero excuses.” The store invites ladies to bring a girlfriend and “wear the outfit you never have anywhere to wear. The more extra, the better.” Enjoy complimentary sips while you shop the vintage fashions plus a charm bar of custom-made jewelry. Merchandise is 15% off, and there will also be a Galentine’s photo station with props to mark the occasion. Mode on Main by Mara: 10417 Main St., Fairfax, $12.51

Bluemont Vineyard’s Galentine’s Day Brunch

February 7 and 15

Bluemont Vineyard offers a Western cowgirl-themed, “Boots & Bubbly Galentine’s Brunch.” Sip your favorite Virginia wines while enjoying a farm-to-table brunch with your besties in a rustic mountaintop venue. Bluemont Vineyard: 18755 Foggy Bottom Rd., Bluemont, $59 plus 20% gratuity

Galentine’s Celebration at Honor Brewing Company

February 12, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Head to Honor Brewing for “a night of movies, drinks, and sparkle.” The brewery will be showing Mean Girls: The Musical on the big screen in the back of the brewery. A permanent jewelry vendor will also be on site, and complimentary light charcuterie will be provided. Your ticket also includes the materials for a paint-your-own wine glass activity. Honor Brewing Company: 42604 Trade West Dr., Sterling, $39.19

Galentine’s Day at Solace Brewing Co.

February 13, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Get your girl squad together to support local, women-owned small businesses at Solace Brewing Co. This pop-up boutique includes vendors selling jewelry, candles, and more. Enjoy ladies-only drink specials including $5 draft beer, $7 cocktails, $9 wines by the glass, and $5 Solace cream sodas (non-alcoholic). Plus, the first 50 women to show up after 4 p.m. will receive a long-stem rose. Solace Brewing Company: 42615 Trade West Dr., Sterling, free

The Winery at Bull Run’s Galentine’s Day Market

February 15, noon to p.m.

The Winery at Bull Run is hosting a shopping event where you can sip your white or red while you check out a variety of handmade goods from local artisans. A ticket to the market includes a glass of wine and a raffle ticket. You can also upgrade to a cookie and wine pairing for $22 or a or two-hour bottomless mimosa package for $25. The Winery at Bull Run: 15950 Route 29, Centreville, $15
