12 NoVA-Area Concerts We Can’t Wait to See This Summer

Grab tickets to some of the biggest shows heading to Wolf Trap, Jiffy Lube Live, and more.

Summer concert season is coming, and some major artists are headed to Northern Virginia and DC in 2026 — don’t wait until the last minute to snag your tickets. These are some of the most anticipated concerts headed to our region.  

Songwriters Celebrate John Prine 

June 9 

Wolf Trap will honor the life and legacy of singer-songwriter John Prine by bringing together several artists for a special concert. Emmylou Harris, Margo Price, Patty Griffin, I’m With Her, Lucius, Allison Russell, Hayes Carll, Jobi Riccio, Fancy Hagood, and John’s youngest son Tommy Prine are all set to perform. Wolf Trap, Vienna, $71+

Orville Peck 

June 14 

Orville Peck, the “enigmatic masked outlaw,” will perform his blend of country and alternative rock. His most recent musical release, Appaloosa, came out November 14. Wolf Trap, Vienna, $51+

Jack Johnson 

June 26 

Jack Johnson’s mellow pop hits are perfect for the summer — especially at Merriweather Post Pavilion’s outdoor amphitheater. This is the first time Johnson is touring since 2022; the singer released a new single, “Hold on to the Light” in support of the tour. Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia, Maryland, $324+ 

The Pussycat Dolls

July 16

Head to Bristow for a night of ’90s pop throwbacks. American girl-group The Pussycat Dolls are reuniting for a tour this summer with three of the original members: Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, and Ashley Roberts. Rapper Lil’ Kim and DC-born musician Mya are the opening acts. Jiffy Lube Live, Bristow, $50+

Train 

July 17 

Twenty-five years after releasing the hit album Drops of Jupiter, American pop rock band Train is going on tour alongside Barenaked Ladies and Matt Nathanson. Expect to hear hits like “Hey, Soul Sister” and “Drive By.” Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia, Maryland, $38+ 

Chicago & Styx 

July 20 

These two influential rock bands — which both started out in Chicago — are co-headlining this tour to perform their top hits. Jiffy Lube Live, Bristow, $55+ 

Zac Brown Band 

August 15 

Country lovers won’t want to miss this three-time Grammy winner at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Old Crow Medicine Show is the opener. Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia, Maryland, $72+ 

Foo Fighters 

August 17 

Foo Fighters, led by NoVA native Dave Grohl, will perform at Nationals Park for their 2026 Take Cover Tour. Nationals Park, Washington, DC, $304+

August 18 

Get ready for an evening of emo nostalgia at Nats Park when MCR performs as part of The Black Parade stadium tour. Modest Mouse, another influential alt-rock band, is the opening act. Nationals Park, Washington, DC, $138+ 

Pitbull with Lil Jon 

August 19 

Mr. Worldwide is taking his I’m Back tour to Bristow. Head to Jiffy Lube Live to hear the Latin hip-hop star’s hits. Rapper Lil Jon will be a special guest. Jiffy Lube Live, Bristow, $55+

James Taylor & His All-Star Band 

August 30–September 2 

The renowned singer-songwriter James Taylor will perform three nights at Wolf Trap’s Filene Center, offering audiences a chance to hear tunes like “How Sweet It Is” and “Carolina in My Mind.” Wolf Trap, Vienna, $72+ 

Oceans Calling Music Festival

September 25–27

This annual waterfront music festival in Ocean City, Maryland, is a DMV-area tradition you don’t want to miss. This year, the three-day lineup includes headliners Dave Matthews Band, Hootie & the Blowfish, Twenty-One Pilots, Gwen Stefani, Mumford & Sons, and Matchbox Twenty. Ocean City, Maryland, $179+
