Clarendon Day will offer eight blocks of music, food, and activities on Saturday, September 27.
Clarendon Day kicks off with music at 11 a.m., with Justin Trawick and The Common Good. Pebble to Pearl comes on at 1 p.m., and Collective plays at 4 p.m.
The kids’ zone includes lots of free activities like an 18-foot inflatable slide and an inflatable tropical-themed obstacle course. There will be crafts, glitter tattoos, and balloon animals. Get there early: there are free prizes for the first 500 kids who visit the Clarendon Alliance booth.
Vendors in arts and crafts, gifts, services, and businesses will be lined up along the eight blocks that encompass the event. Some of them include Sandra Sienik Jewelry, StretchLabs in Arlington, The Bathing Raven Candle Co., and Not Your Grandma’s Crafts.
Two dozen food options are set to be at the celebration from doughnuts and crepes to Thai food.
“Clarendon Day is one of my favorite times of the year because it truly brings our whole community together,” says Tina Bagapor, executive director of the Clarendon Alliance. “It’s a chance for everyone to come out, connect, and celebrate all that makes Clarendon special.”
If you plan on driving to the event, use 3100 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22201 for your GPS. If you choose to take Metro, use the Clarendon station.
Clarendon Day guests can park for free from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Mason Square Van Metre Garage, which is located behind campus on Founders Way off Kirkwood Drive.
