Level99 Will Open its First DMV Location in Tysons Next Week

Take a peek to see some of the mind-bending challenges coming to the new entertainment venue.

After over a year and a half of anticipation, the wait is almost over. Level99, a challenge-based entertainment venue geared toward adults, is ready to open its doors at Tysons Corner Center.

The interactive entertainment venue will open its doors to the public on Monday, August 25. The over 40,000-square-foot venue is located on the second floor, taking over the previous locations of the Barnes & Noble and Old Navy.

Thrilling Games

The venue will feature more than 50 different mental and physical challenge rooms, all created by Level99’s in-house designers and engineers. Each game can include anywhere from two to six players and run from one to four minutes. Games players have to look forward to the Axe Run, Mansion Banquet, and Wavelength Cord.

“It’s great because we really target the 21- to 39-year-olds,” says Rachel Scheinfeld, vice president of marketing and strategy at Level99. “People come and they feel like they’re 10 years old again, getting to play in this real game world.”

At a preview event, we got to try out some of the games that new players are going to love. First of the day was Space Nebula. Your team has only two minutes to land the skee balls into the holes of each nebula on the board. The more you get, the more stars your team ends up with at the end of the timer.

Next was Flux.0, which combines riddles with a bit of baseball. With over 50 different puzzles to solve, players need to hit the correct color targets based on the clues shown on the screen.

“This is such an ideal demographic fit for us,” says Matt DuPlessie, Level99 founder & CEO. “We’re looking for people who are socially engaged, mentally active, physically active — [people who] want to get off their rear end, get off the couch, and do something with real people. So studying each of the major metros around the US, this is going to be a great fit for us.”

Food and Drink

The space also includes Victory Brewing, the full-service restaurant and bar. Best known for its award-winning Detroit pizza, Victory Brewing will overlook the east end of the mall, offering sit-down tables, bar seating, and quick-service ordering. Its menu includes quick bites like garlic and parmesan wings and cantina nachos, plus hearty meals like fresh wagyu burgers and Korean BBQ chicken.

Need a drink to lighten the competitive edge? The bar has a variety of craft beers, wine, handcrafted cocktails, and mocktails.

Level99 will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
