Here’s How to Ride in the Hot Tub Boat Featured in ‘Love Is Blind’

It’s never too late (or too cold) to hop in a hot tub and float down the Potomac.

Don’t pack up your bathing suits just yet. It may be too cold for a dip in the pool or a trip to the beach, but Sea the City DC’s hot tub boat tour lets you get out on the water any time of the year.

If it looks familiar, you may recognize it from episode 11 of Love Is Blind DC, when Marissa and Ramses rode in one of the tubs. In fact, the company says it saw an increase in calls and bookings after the episode aired.

So how can you experience the kind of relaxation that comes from floating down the river in a hot tub? Sea the City offers tours on its hot tub boats from March to the end of December, with options to book for groups up to 20 people.

Tours start at around $359 for a single-tub boat or $1,919 for a double-tub boat. All tours start and end at the Market Docks at The Wharf in DC.

Each booking gets you a two-hour tour along the water and past landmark sights like the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Kennedy Center, and more, all while you and your party soak in the hot tub. There are even special seasonal tours, like a fall foliage tour in autumn, winter holiday tours to see the holiday lights, a New Year’s Eve cruise, and cherry blossom cruises in the spring.

Operators adjust the water temperature so it’s sure to stay toasty even in the chilly months.

The boats come equipped with coolers, Bluetooth speakers, and changing booths on board. There are also additional seating areas, so you don’t have to soak the full two hours if you don’t want to. You’ll have to bring your own drinks and towels (or rent them from the company). No food is allowed on board.
