Weekend Fun: Easter Egg Hunts, Outdoor Movie Night, and Kite Flying Day

Cap off March with Easter egg hunts, a ‘Jurassic World’ live show, and an interactive ‘Encanto’ experience.

Before March ends, spring into a lineup of events that caters to everyone. From Leah Rudick’s hilarious stand-up and Steve Aoki’s pulse-pounding concert to kid-friendly Easter festivals and an interactive Encanto experience, adventure awaits around every corner from March 29 to 31. 

Dulles Family Fun Extravaganza 

March 29, 6–11 p.m., March 30 and 31, 3–11 p.m. 

Head to Dulles Town Center for a carnival featuring rides, games, and food. Those over 3-feet tall can opt for an unlimited ride wristband for hassle-free enjoyment for $40. The carnival runs through April 7. 21100 Dulles Town Cir., Dulles, ride tickets, $1.25 each 

Movie in the Park: Doggy Double Feature 

March 29, 7:30 p.m. 

Enjoy It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown and Lady and the Tramp under the stars. This dog-friendly double feature is perfect for the whole family. Dixon Park: 1300 Dixon St., Fredericksburg, free 

Leah Rudick 

March 29, 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.; March 30, 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. 

Catch the viral sensation Leah Rudick, known for her TikTok characters “Wealthy Woman” and “Love Coach,” as she brings her stand-up special to the DC Comedy Loft. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. DC Comedy Loft: 1523 22nd St. NW, Washington, DC, $25 

Steve Aoki 

March 29, 9 p.m. 

EDM powerhouse Steve Aoki hits the stage for a night of electrifying beats and dancing. Known for his dynamic performances and dedicated fanbase, Aoki’s concert will have you jumping along with the crowd. This is a standing-room concert. Echostage: 2135 Queens Chapel Rd. NE, Washington, DC, $121 

Disney’s Encanto x CAMP 

March 29–31 

Explore the magical world of Encanto in Tysons Corner. This immersive experience brings the Madrigals’ Casita to life, offering an hour of interactive fun with live music and magical surprises. It also features a marketplace inspired by the film’s colorful town square. 7866L Tysons Corner Center, Tysons, starting at $42 

Jurassic World Live Tour 

March 29–31 

Experience the last weekend of Jurassic World Live Tour in NoVA. This action-packed live show includes fan-favorite dinosaurs like Blue the Raptor, the mighty T. rex, and more. EagleBank Arena: 4500 Patriot Cir., Fairfax, starting at $20 

Spring Wine Fling 

March 29–31 

Indulge in a two-course meal paired with exquisite wines. Participate in tastings across over 60 locations, including Arlington’s Beauty’s Wine Bar & Bistro and Alexandria’s Chart House. Various locations, $55 per person 

Blossom Kite Festival 

March 30, 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m. 

Watch a colorful display as kites fly and compete all day. Highlights include a showcase from Endo kite maker Mikio Toki and a Japanese drumming concert at Sylvan Theater. It’s a family-friendly event for beginners and kite enthusiasts alike. Washington Monument Grounds: 2 15th St. NW, Washington, DC, free 

Easter Egg Hunts at Leesburg Animal Park 

March 30–31 

Take the kids on an egg hunt adventure. The event includes animal petting, face painting, and live music. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Admission to the park is extra. Leesburg Animal Park: 19246 James Monroe Hwy., Leesburg, $18.95 for adults, $16.95 for children and seniors 

Easter Kids and Family Festival 

March 31, noon–6 p.m. 

Celebrate Easter at Shipgarten with a festival full of egg hunts, free face painting, arts and crafts, live music, moon bounces, and more. Dogs are welcome, with special treats available for them. Shipgarten: 7581 Colshire Dr., Mclean, free
