Where to Watch the 2024 Oscar-Nominated Films in NoVA

Discover or rewatch the best films of 2023 at these Northern Virginia cinemas.

Catch up on Oscar-nominated films before the awards ceremony on March 10 at these Northern Virginia cinemas. Some venues are offering tickets at discounted prices on soon-to-be-classics like Oppenheimer, The Holdovers, and Barbie. Showtimes vary for each location. 

Alamo Drafthouse 

Through February 28 

Catch DC native Jeffrey Wright in the hilarious American Fiction while enjoying a plethora of food options. After watching, visit the craft beer bar connected to the theater. 20575 Easthampton Plz., Ashburn; 15200 Potomac Town Pl., Ste. 100, Woodbridge, $14 for all, $7–$10.75 for matinee 

Angelika Film Center 

Through February 28 

Discover critically acclaimed international films like Japan’s Perfect Days and Italy’s Io Capitano at this chic boutique cinema. Try out the café where you will find craft cocktails and reasonably priced sandwiches. 2911 District Ave., Fairfax, $16 for adults, $13 for children, $14 for seniors, $10 for matinee 

LOOK Dine-In Cinema 

Through February 28 

Experience a night of hilarity with the Emma Stone-led Poor Things at this dine-in cinema. Taste the movie-themed cocktails with fun names such as “Sleepless in Seattle” and “Shaken Not Stirred.” 11940 Market St., Reston, $14.75 for adults, $11.75 for children and seniors 

Cinema Arts Theatre 

Through February 29 

Known for showcasing arthouse and foreign films, this independently owned movie theater will have special screenings dedicated to Oscar-nominated live action and animated short films. Fair City Mall: 9650 Main St., Ste. 14, Fairfax, $13 for adults, $12 for seniors, students, and children, $8–$12 for matinee  

CMX Village 14 Cinemas 

February 27 

Enjoy a meal at this theater that has a full kitchen and bar. Watch Maestro to have Leonard Bernstein’s iconic orchestral music as your backdrop. CMX Village 14 Cinemas: 1600 Village Market Blvd. SE, Leesburg, $6.49 

AMC 

March 1–10 

The best films of 2023 return to the big screen at AMC for only $5. Relive the “Barbenheimer” phenomenon by watching the now Oscar-nominated duo of Oppenheimer and Barbie. Multiple locations, $5 

Regal Cinemas 

March 1–10 

Watch Best Picture nominees and be entered for a trip to next year’s Oscars Night at the Museum event. Rediscover heartbreak with Past Lives or reignite your ‘70s nostalgia with The Holdovers. Multiple locations, $6–$6.42
