Bananaland is hitting the road. The TikTok viral Savannah Bananas are taking their game on the road for a world tour – making a pit stop at Nationals Park in Washington, DC, along the way.
On Saturday, July 13, 2024, the Bananas will take on the Savannah Party Animals for a one night-only game at the Washington Nationals home field — one of six MLB ballparks selected for the tour.
And this won’t be your average baseball game. Instead, think of it as the Harlem Globetrotters but with baseball instead of basketball. The team is known for its choreographed dances during stoppages of the game, never-before-seen player intros, endless props, and ridiculous trick plays.
In order to grab tickets, fans will need to join the ticket lottery, which is open through December 1. The random drawing will occur two months before the event (so sometime around mid-May for the DC game). Those selected will have an opportunity to buy tickets.
There will be two ticket options — open seating tickets for $35 or VIB (Very Important Banana) experiences for $100. The VIB packages are available first come, first serve and include early entry to the ballpark and a special meet and greet with the Banana players. It will be free for children 3 and under.
