Digital Tenderness
OK, you may not recognize the Adam & The Ants song I’m quoting above, but you’ll understand a date night at an augmented reality game room. Maybe. After reading about Electric Gamebox in Ballston Quarter, I’m eager to take my other half out for a night that recalls the final round of my favorite ’90s game show, Nick Arcade. –Alice Levitt, food editor/critic

Bottoms Up
With a soccer-free weekend coming up, I’m taking full advantage of my first free Saturday of the month. There’s no better way to enjoy the season than with great company and tasty cocktails. And, with the forecast calling for temps in the 70s, that means I’m heading outdoors to enjoy some drinks under the sun.  –Michele Kettner, associate digital & research editor

Old Growth
The annual Mount Vernon Historic Plant and Garden sale takes place this weekend, and it’s not any run-of-the-mill parking lot sale–plants grown in greenhouses on the famously well-tended estate are available, including sycamore, magnolia, and paw paw seedlings. –James Finley, senior editor
