If you want to make a day out of your fireworks excursion, there are few places better than Lake Fairfax Park. Great Meadow Fireworks

For the 32nd year, Great Meadow hosts one of Northern Virginia’s best fireworks shows from its internationally acclaimed steeplechase course. You’ll see the entire course and property light up in magnificent patriotic colors; the big show begins at dark, lasts 25 minutes, and is accompanied by a musical score. 5089 Old Tavern Rd., The Plains; $40 per car (up to five people)
Independence Day Celebration
