Autumn is the perfect time to stock up activities for those cold months indoors. Save some money on books, movies and music at Rosslyn’s annual pop-up sale. Rosslyn BID and nonprofit used bookstore Carpe Librum are joining forces again to host the Rosslyn Reads Book Festival this weekend.
The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. This pop-up sale will feature over 8,000 high-quality, gently used books, CDs, DVDs and vinyls ranging in price from $2 to $6.
Like many events in the region, the festival has put regulations in place to ensure the health of all visitors. The major difference from last year is that visitors will have to register for a one-hour time slot in order to attend the event. This can be done in advance on Eventbrite or you can fill out a waiver onsite. There will only be a maximum of 50 people allowed on the plaza at any time.
The festival’s organizers have also input different regulations during the event. This includes one-way foot traffic to ensure social distancing while shopping, a mask requirement while on the plaza and hand sanitizing stations placed at the entrance. // Central Place Plaza: 1800 N.
