Baseball season is indefinitely postponed, but Washington Nationals fans have something to look forward to this weekend. Announced on May 19, on the Kolk & Friends show, the team will unveil their 2019 World Series championship rings during a virtual celebration on Sunday, May 24, at 7 p.m.

It is the first virtual championship ring ceremony in MLB history, and the hour-long celebration will be simulcast on nationals.com, the MLB Network, MASN and the Nationals’ Facebook page and YouTube channel. Many team members, the Nationals ownership and notable DMV personalities will make appearances.

The ceremony will also have a philanthropic touch to the evening: Leading up to the presentation, as well as during the livestream, fans are encouraged to donate to the NATS4GOOD Community Response Fund to support hunger relief in the Washington, DC area by texting RELIEF to 91347, or by visiting nationals.com/relief. Each donation will be passed along in full to World Central Kitchen and Capital Area Food Bank. And, fans can share a message to the Nationals when they donate, with select messages being featured during the ring ceremony.

Nats fans can also relive the 2019 postseason with a two-part presentation of Improbable, a new documentary produced by Curly W Productions that takes fans behind the scenes of the World Series run. Part one will air at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, and part two will air on Sunday, May 24, at 5:30 p.m., right before the virtual ring ceremony. The documentary can be accessed on MASN and nationals.com.
