Spring is just around the corner and you might be feeling the familiar itch to rearrange your furniture or fill your closet with pastels. We don’t blame you.

Lucky for you, there’s a surefire way to bring a new dose of brightness and energy to your home at the 2020 Sugarloaf Craft Festival in Chantilly. From Friday, March 27 to Sunday, March 29 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), 250 artists will showcase their handcrafted work, which you can take home and welcome into your new spring collection.

Whether you’re looking for paintings, pottery, metal sculpture, glasswork, photography, textiles or furniture, the festival has it all. The best part? You get to buy it directly from the creator or collector, making the experience even more special. Workshops and demonstrations from attending artists will also take place throughout the weekend.

For locally based artists only at the Chantilly show, be sure to check out Glitzy Glass, who we spoke with during 2019’s Hanukkah celebration); Southern Belles BBQ, who offers a variety of homemade barbecue sauces; and Sittin’ Easy, where you might just find your new favorite outdoor chair or bench for the warmer months.

Grab your tickets, visit the food vendors to grab a snack and then head off to find your new favorite pieces of local art. The festival will feature live music at various times, as well as children’s entertainment. // Dulles Expo Center: 4320 Chantilly Shopping Center, Chantilly; $8 online, $10 at door
