7 upcoming food, beer and wine festivals to take you through warm weekends

Cheers to warmer days and summertime sunsets! Here are upcoming festivals to look forward to as we spend our days outdoors, with drink in hand.

Springfest 2019
April 27, Noon-7 p.m.
Caboose Brewing Company and eight other craft breweries will celebrate the season at its first-ever Springfest, and everyone’s invited—even your favorite four-legged friends. The event will host live performances from Dan McGuire and Hayley Fahey, and serve up smoked barbecue by Caboose’s Executive Chef David Rabin. // Caboose Commons: 2918 Eskridge Road, Fairfax; $5 per refreshment ticket

Brambleton Brew Fest
May 18, 1-6 p.m.
In its fifth year, the Brambleton Brew Fest will gather over 25 breweries from within an hour’s distance of the city. A general admission ticket gets you unlimited pours of the local libations, and the freedom to enjoy food trucks and live music for the entire afternoon. // Behind the Brambleton Town Center: 42395 Ryan Road, Brambleton; $35 online, $40 at gate

Spring Wine Festival & Sunset Tour
May 17-19, 6-9 p.m.
Mount Vernon’s rich history of wine is put on display as guests sample spirits from 20 different state wineries. Tour the mansion to learn more about Washington’s trials and tribulations with the botted beverage, or shake hands with Martha Washington and other visitors from the past as they make their rounds. // George Washington’s Mount Vernon: 3200 Mount Vernon Memorial Highway, Mount Vernon; $43-48

Beer in the ’Burbs
June 1, Noon-5 p.m.
Fairfax City’s Old Town Square will host its first craft brewery celebration with over 25 Virginia-based breweries. This year’s theme is honoring the 5oth anniversary of Woodstock, so pull out your peace signs and find your flare pants. // Old Town Square: 10415 N. St., Fairfax; free admission, food and drink prices vary

Vintage Virginia Wine & Food Festival
June 1-2, Noon-6 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday
Grab your tasting ticket and souvenir glass–there’s over 200 wines to taste from Virginia-based wineries at the Vintage Virginia Wine & Food Festival. Bottles will be available for purchase, and guests can take a relaxing walk though craft and food tents while enjoying live music and getting sips from across the state. // Bull Run Special Events Center: 7700 Bull Run Drive, Centreville; $40 general admission, $65 VIP admission

Taste of Reston
June 14, 4-11 p.m. and June 15, 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
From cheeseburger sliders and crab cakes, to vegetable paella and organic chocolate mousse, there’s something appetizing for everyone at the downtown food and beer celebration in Reston. Make sure to have a map to navigate through the wine-and-dine area, catch multiple live performances and explore the family fun zone. // Reston Town Center: 11900 Market St., Reston; free admission, refreshment ticket prices vary

Purcellville Wine & Food Festival
July 13, 2-8 p.m.
With a toast to local wineries, Pucellville Wine & Food Festival allows visitors to tip their glasses back while tasting local fare and shopping from artisan vendors. The event will host local artists creating new works live in the garden, and music performances throughout the day. // Dillon’s Woods in the Fireman’s Field Complex: 250 S. Nursery Ave., Purcellville; $30 general admission ticket
