Where to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Northern Virginia

Here’s where to clink pints of green beer this weekend.

From local restaurants serving up special Irish menus to Celtic music and dance performances to parades and festivals, this is where you can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day (and clink some pints of green beer) this weekend.

St. Paddy’s Day Dueling Pianos at A-Town Bar and Grill
March 17

A-Town Bar and Grill will celebrate the holiday with dueling pianos starting at 10 p.m. // 4100 Fairfax Drive, Arlington

The Old Brogue
March 17

The Old Brogue will celebrate St. Paddy’s and its 36th anniversary with live Celtic music all day with either lunch or dinner purchases. Traditional Irish beer will also be on tap. // 760 Walker Road, Great Falls

The Auld Shebeen
March 17

The Irish pub will host live music throughout lunch and dinner. // 3971 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax

Ireland’s Four Courts Irish Pub
March 17

The Arlington pub opens at 9 a.m. with kegs and eggs, live music all day, a heated tent outside and karaoke starting at 8 p.m. // 2051 Wilson Blvd., Arlington

O’Faolain’s Irish Pub and Restaurant
March 17

Whispering Eye will perform a set list that includes classic Irish drinking songs at O’Faolain’s from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. // 20921 Davenport Drive, Sterling

O’Sullivan’s Irish Pub
March 17

Both O’Sullivan’s locations will have live music all day, plus performances by Irish dancers. // 3207 Washington Blvd., Arlington; 754 Elden St., Herndon

La Côte d’Or Café
March 17

The French bistro in Arlington will go Irish for the day with a special lunch and dinner menu featuring corned beef, lamb stew and other items. // 6867 Lee Highway, Arlington

Open Road
March 17

Open Road will host a St. Patrick’s Day party with fish and chips, a drunken fish sandwich, Guinness and Jameson for order. Live music will take place from 3:30-6:30 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. // 8100 Lee Highway, Falls Church

Buzz Bakeshop
March 17

Buzz Bakeshop will serve up festive St. Paddy’s Day concoctions, including rainbow cupcakes, Pot of Gold cookies and Bailey’s whoopie pies. // 901 Slaters Lane, Alexandria; 818 N. Quincy St., Arlington

St. Paddy’s Day Party
March 17, 7-9 p.m.

For the younger set (fifth- and sixth-graders specifically), The Old Firehouse will host a party with games, music, dancing, food and more. // The Old Firehouse: 1440 Chain Bridge Road, McLean

Bluemont Shamrock 5K and 10K at Great Country Farms
March 18, 9 a.m.

Run off that green beer at Great Country Farms’ annual 5K and 10K, which will be followed by live music and food. // 18780 Foggy Bottom Road, Bluemont

15th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival
March 18, noon-4 p.m.

Fredericksburg’s parade of fire trucks, marching bands and Irish dancers will culminate at A. Smith Bowman Distillery, where the festival will commence with live music, food trucks and beer stands. // 3300 Dill Smith Drive, Fredericksburg

The Biggest and the Best St. Paddy’s Day Event Around at Ned’s
Through March 18

Ned Devine’s Restaurant and Irish Pub will host Irish-style country line dancing on Thursday and live music and Irish dancers throughout the entire day on Friday. Irish food will be on order and green beer will flow all day, too. More live music will follow Saturday. // 2465 Centreville Road, Herndon

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Paddy Barry’s
Through March 19

On Thursday, Paddy Barry’s will have live Irish music from 6-9 p.m. followed by kegs and eggs from 8-10 a.m. on Friday, live music starting at 11 a.m., special lunch and dinner menus and even more live music on Saturday and Sunday. // 8150 Leesburg Pike, Vienna
