Nov. 8 isn’t just for waiting in line at your local polling place and finally calling an end to a seemingly never-ending election. That also makes it a perfect day to grab a beer at your favorite local haunt. After a long day (and campaign), join your fellow Americans and Novinians and watch as the poll results come in at these parties:

Hard Times Café
5 p.m.-2 a.m.
Watch election results on four projection screens with a burger or chili and a beer. The extended happy hour runs until 9 p.m., and you can get 10 percent off food when you show your “I Voted” sticker. // 7753 Sudley Road, Manassas

Sehkraft Brewing
7 p.m.-1 a.m.
The Arlington Democrats are hosting this watch party at the new Clarendon brewhouse. // 925 N. Garfield St., Arlington

Texas Jack’s Barbecue
4 p.m.-close
Come and celebrate the end of a contentious election season with four TV screens, a happy hour extended until closing and discounted dishes, including pulled-pork sandwiches and nachos. Campaign staff and supporters for Charles Hernick, Republican candidate for Virginia’s 8th district, will take be the restaurant, too. // 2761 Washington Blvd., Arlington

Pork Barrel BBQ
7 p.m.
Alexandria Democrats will gather at the Del Ray restaurant to watch the election results. // 2312 Mount Vernon Ave., Alexandria

Bastille
11:30 a.m.-9 p.m.
The Old Town restaurant will help voters of all persuasions celebrate the long-awaited conclusion of the election with themed cocktails (festively dubbed #Crooked, Deluded Little Manhattan, Live Free or Die Johnson and Paging Dr. Stein), a complimentary slice of cake for patrons with an “I Voted” sticker and an extended happy hour until 9 p.m. // 606 N. Fayette St., Alexandria

Hank’s Oyster Bar
Hank’s Oyster Bar and Hank’s Pasta Bar will show election results and ring in the conclusion of contentious campaigns with food and drink specials. Hank’s Oyster Bar will serve up $1 select oysters on the half shell and Make It Quick and Painless oyster shooters. At Hank’s Pasta Bar, select dishes will be half-price. // Hank’s Oyster Bar: 1026 King St., Alexandria; Hank’s Pasta Bar: 600 Montgomery St., Alexandria

California Tortilla
All day
At California Tortilla, you won’t necessarily be able to watch the election results, but you can get your fill of queso. The fast-casual chain will offer free chips and queso with any purchase when customers say “Make queso great again,” “I’m with queso” or “I vote for queso.” // Locations across Northern Virginia

Ri Ra Irish Pub
4 p.m.-2 a.m.
It’s first come, first served, but starting at 4 p.m., eight screens throughout the pub will display election coverage. The pub has two floors, so there should be room, but you’ll want to get there early if you’re coming with a large group. // 3125 M St. NW, Washington, D.C.

Provision 14
5-11:30 p.m.
Starting its election coverage on all screens at 5 p.m., Provision 14 will also serve politically inspired food and drink specials all evening. // 2100 14th St. NW, Washington, D.C.
