Bed Bath & Beyond Opens in NoVA Within The Container Store

The brand’s merchandise will be sold at five Northern Virginia locations.

Popular big box home goods retailer Bed Bath & Beyond is making a comeback. The brand will now be integrated into some locations of The Container Store.

Bed Bath & Beyond filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April 2023 and closed its stores three months later. The brand’s name and trademark were purchased by Overstock, which was relaunched under the name Beyond.com. In 2024, Beyond.com invested $40 million in The Container Store as part of a “strategic partnership.”

The Container Store announced last month that 98 of its stores are preparing for the phased integration of Bed Bath & Beyond products.

Beginning in May, 98 Container Store locations will transition to The Container Store + Bed Bath & Beyond format.

“This is a reset with purpose,” Jen Pape, senior vice president of stores at The Container Store, said in a release. “We are actively reshaping our stores to make room for what’s next. By streamlining select categories today, we’re creating the space and flexibility needed to introduce Bed Bath & Beyond products and deliver a more complete home experience for our customers.”

According to Bed Bath & Beyond’s website, merchandise will be sold at The Container Store at the following NoVA locations:

  • Arlington: 2800 Clarendon Blvd., Ste. R-750
  • Ashburn: 20420 Exchange St.
  • Reston: 1851 Fountain Dr.
  • Springfield: 6412 Springfield Plz.
  • Tysons: 8459 Leesburg Pike, Vienna
