On opening morning, the store will be offering free food, coffee, and tote bags.

By Debbie Williams July 10, 2025 at 9:49 am

The new Whole Foods Market, adjacent to Reston Town Center, will open at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, with plenty of giveaways for shoppers. The 46,711-square-foot grocery store, located at 1861 Fountain Dr., is almost double the square footage of its previous location in the Plaza America shopping center.

The new store includes expanded café seating and a full-service coffee bar. It will also stock more than 400 locally sourced products from Virginia, Maryland, and DC. Regular store hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Whole Foods Opening Day Events

On opening morning, the new Reston Whole Foods will offer complimentary coffee and snacks. The first 300 customers in line will receive a custom tote bag and Secret Saver coupon featuring offers up to $100 off.

Also on opening morning, Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods Program will present Northern Virginia Food Rescue with a food donation. The nonprofit previously received a van through Nourishing Our Neighborhoods, which supports local organizations’ efforts to transport surplus food to areas in need.

Whole Foods Market is also donating to NoVA organizations Cornerstones and Anna Sudha Community Kitchens.
