Find Your Next Treasure at These 6 Northern Virginia Yard Sales

Search for secondhand gems at one of these spring events.

Maybe you’ve been on the lookout for a particular item, but don’t want to pay retail. Or you just love browsing through an eclectic mix of household treasures. Either way, these upcoming community yard sales will offer discount shopping on clothes, toys, furniture, and home goods. You just never know what secondhand treasure you might uncover.

The MV Big Flea

April 26, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Head to the Mount Vernon Rec Center Gym for a selection of secondhand furniture, toys, books, sports equipment, home décor, and more. General admission is free, or attendees can opt for a $10 ticket to attend the first hour beginning at 7:30 a.m. 2701 Commonwealth Ave., Alexandria

Pleasant Valley Recreation Association Community Yard Sale

April 26, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (rain date is April 27)

This event will be held in the parking lot of the community pool. Those interested in attending are encouraged to come early for the best selection of items. 4347 Cub Run Rd., Chantilly

Reston Association Yard Sale

April 26, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

More than 90 families are expected to participate in this event — held near the Reston Wegmans — and thousands typically attend. 12010 Sunrise Valley Dr., Reston

Bluemont Spring Community Yard Sale

May 3, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (rain date is May 4)

This free event is open to all Bluemont residents and visitors. Sellers are welcome to set up shop in their own yards or driveways or bring items to a shared community sale location off the Bluemont Junction Trail close to the entrance to the Mary Carlin Woods. Arlington

Lake Ridge Association Yard Sale

May 3, 8 a.m. to noon (rain date is May 4)

More than 50 sellers will be showcasing their wares at this sale. 12350 Oakwood Dr., Lake Ridge

South Riding Spring Community Wide Yard Sale

May 10, 8 a.m. to noon

This community yard sale will be in two different locations. The first will be in participating South Riding Proprietary residents’ yards and the second will be in the parking lot of the Dulles South Recreation and Community Center. The event is rain or shine. South Riding community and 24950 Riding Center Dr., Chantilly
