Need Cowboy Boots? Mosey on Over to These NoVA Western Wear Stores

These retailers carry classic and trendy styles for a boot scootin’ good look.

By Heather Bien January 24, 2025 at 9:40 am

Cowboy boots may have started out as a practical footwear choice for ranchers working on rugged terrain, but they’ve become a darling of the fashion crowd. You can buy them knowing that you’ll hang onto them for years, if not decades.

Want to add a pair of cowboy boots to your wardrobe? Whether you’re going for a chic or rugged look, here are four Northern Virginia stores that offer Western wear apparel.

Blue Collar Mercantile

At this Winchester retailer, you can shop for cowboy boots and apparel outside of the hustle and bustle of Northern Virginia. This store stocks cowboy boots, work boots, Western wear, cowboy hats, and even Western-inspired home goods. You’ll also find a range of brand names, including favorites like Ariat and Dan Post. 325 W. Boscawen St., Winchester

Boot Barn

Boot Barn is the largest Western wear retail chain in the country and, if you’re just getting your bearings trying to figure out the right cowboy boot brand and look for you, this is the place to go. With hundreds of different boots, you can spend hours trying on everything from classic round toe boots to something with bold embroidery and a snip toe. 14050 Shoppers Best Way, Woodbridge; 1021 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE, Leesburg

Tecovas

Planning a shopping day in the vibrant Mosaic District? Stop by Tecovas, the Austin, Texas-based boot brand that’s made a name for itself with hip branding and rugged work-inspired cowboy boots. Many of their boots hit right around the $300 to $350 mark, which is a typical mid-range price point. They also have some more subtly Western-inspired clothing. 2905 District Ave., Ste. 115, Fairfax

WJ Colt Western Outfitters

WJ Colt Western Outfitters is where you go for the real-deal Western wear. This store has been in operation for more than 50 years, providing Northern Virginia’s Western enthusiasts with boots and clothing fit for a rodeo. You’ll find splurge-worthy Lucchese boots as well as incredibly affordable styles from Old West. There are classic work style boots, cowboy hats, and jewelry to help round out your look. 2832 Dorr Ave., Ste. B, Fairfax
