Shop Locally at Middleburg’s Sidewalk Sale Next Weekend

Get your walking shoes on and plan for a day of bargain-hunting in downtown Middleburg.

By Colleen Kelleher July 26, 2024 at 8:49 am

Your chance to snag a deal is coming up in Middleburg. The 18th annual Summer Sidewalk Sale starts Friday, August 2, and runs through Sunday, August 4.

Stores on Washington, Madison, and Federal streets plan to participate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and varying hours on Sunday.

Bargain hunters will want to arrive early. You’ll find deals on the sidewalks in front of the businesses. Stores that are participating will be marked with colorful balloons.

Here are some of the participating shops:

  • Crème de la Crème (pottery, ceramics, linens, etc.)
  • Zest (clothing and accessories)
  • Lou Lou Too (accessories)
  • Country Classics (men’s and women’s clothing)
  • Lucky Knot (men’s and women’s clothing)
  • Tilley’s Pet Supplies (pet products)
  • Middleburg Gourmet (specialty food items)
  • Chloe’s of Middleburg (women’s clothing boutique)
  • Balloon Designs (balloons)
  • The PLAYroom (toy store)
  • Highcliffe Clothiers (men’s and women’s clothing)
  • Every Little Something (luxury stationery and gifts)
  • Brick & Mortar Mercantile (gifts)
  • Stitch (needlepoint shop)
  • Middleburg Essentials (eclectic accessories, body care)
  • Posh Pixies (children’s clothing)
  • Federal & Black (home goods)
  • The Accidental Peacock (antiques)
  • Raymer’s Homemade Candies (candy)
  • Middleburg Books (bookstore)
  • Community Shop (consignment and thrift)
  • The Tack Box and the Middleburg Tack Exchange (equestrian-related products)

The National Sporting Library & Museum on The Plains Road will host a duplicate book sale.

Emmanuel Episcopal Church will sell high-end second-hand and new household items and furniture from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday.

Of course, after you’re done shopping at the Summer Sidewalk Sale (or maybe in between shopping sprints), relax and have a meal at one of the town’s restaurants. Several have outdoor options, and it’s expected the town’s restaurants will offer specials.
