Shopping for children’s clothes can be a bundle of fun. Bright patterns, snuggly fabrics, and comfortable styles — hey, do they make these in adult sizes? For the best children’s clothing in the area, check out these NoVA stores and boutiques that carry a range of clothing and accessories for babies and children.

Pink and Brown Boutique

This adorable boutique in Alexandria focuses on the mission of selling 100 percent organic cotton children’s clothing, striving for a high level of comfort and quality in every piece it curates. Some of the featured clothes on its Favorites page include bamboo striped pajamas, an avocado-print footie gift set, and a cozy unicorn coverall. Pink and Brown Boutique also sells a wide selection of children’s furniture, accessories, toys, and books. 1129 King St., Alexandria

Monday’s Child

Monday’s Child has been offering classic children’s clothing in Alexandria for 42 years and boasts the area’s largest selection of Holy Communion clothing. Sizes span from newborn to 14. The store is populated with adorable pastel dresses for young girls and darling little rompers for boys, and its swimwear collection is expansive, making this a good spot to hit before a family trip to the beach. 218 N. Lee St., Alexandria

Kinder Haus Toys

This Arlington shop doesn’t just sell toys. It has a collection of children’s clothes — everything from everyday playwear to special occasion outfits. Its brand-name clothing promises to be comfortable, stylish, and well-made. One of the more popular brands it offers is Kissy Kissy Baby Outfits, made from Pima cotton. 1220 N. Fillmore St., Arlington

Ashby Mae Boutique

In 2016, Debbie Thomas opened Ashby Mae Boutique to honor her mother and bring classic children’s clothing, shoes, and accessories to Leesburg. Every item sold at Ashby Mae is carefully hand selected by the team. The store carries more than 80 brands. Shop for precious floral-print dresses, cozy pajamas, and much more. 305-N E. Market St., Leesburg
