At the start of 2019, the company credited with building several local shopping destinations, Simon Property Group, announced plans for renovations at Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets. And now more than six months later, the property is nearing the final phase of work this year, according to a recent press release.

As of Oct. 8, several aspects of the project are complete, including a brand-new food hall, featuring farm-style dining tables and lounge areas, updated restrooms and a private nursing lounge located near the management office.

The final phase of improvements consists of outdoor lounge areas, a fire pit, an outdoor, interactive green space with life-size games and other entertainment, and access to free public Wi-Fi, all in an effort to increase family-friendly spaces throughout the property.

As construction continues, so does the shopping. To coincide with this next phase of improvements, the outlets announced that furniture company Design Within Reach, DKNY and The Children’s Place Outlet will arrive at the site this fall.

Design Within Reach offers the world’s largest selection of contemporary furniture, lighting and accessories from a variety of designers, all within a 10,800-square-foot space near Theory and Tory Burch. Clothing brand DKNY and The Children’s Place Outlet will be moving into a 4,718-square-foot and a 6,000-square-foot space, respectively.

Other changes in recent months include the addition of sports apparel company Fanatics by Lids and the relocation of Armani Exchange to a nearby storefront.
