At the Sept. 28 Cosmo Couture fashion show, 24 architecture and design teams sketched and created fashion-forward looks using only building materials. The winners were Little Architects in the haute couture category, Perkins + Will for their runway performance, Hughes Group for their use of materials, KCCT for their interpretation of the theme, EYP for their red carpet look and WDG for people’s choice.
As the final design came down the runway, we couldn’t help but consider how these looks would actually play out in real life, so we scoured NoVA boutiques to find statement pieces inspired by their designs.
