In addition to cookouts, celebrating independence and a day off, the Fourth is a great weekend to shop. So, if you find yourself wandering away from fireworks and into the mall keep your eyes peeled for great sales.
Treat the kids to something special with a new outfit from 529 Kids Consign. Stop by either one of their two locations in Old Town and Hollin Hall to score 25% off all full-priced summer items. The store accepts and sells high-end brands with sizes ranging from babies to tweens; they also carry items for expectant mothers. The sale will be happening from July 3-7.
However, if you’re looking for an event that’s a little less kid friendly, the W Hotel in D.C. is hosting a firework viewing party with cocktails and a DJ. The rooftop party overlooks the mall providing a front row view of the nation’s firework display. The event is 21 and over and tickets are $75. The latest installment of the Pop-in series at Nordstrom continues Friday July 4 with the ‘Nordstrom Welcomes Poketo‘ collection. The LA-based store focuses on taking seemingly regular items, like paper and pens, and turns them into works of art. The collection, which can be purchased at the Tysons Corner location, includes notebooks, pens and a paper mobile, as well as specialty items from Pendleton and HighLow jewelry.
