New Whole Foods in the Works for Sterling

There could soon be a new grocery option in Loudoun County.

By Maggie Roth May 8, 2026 at 11:10 am

Loudoun County grocery shoppers could soon have a new option. A Whole Foods Market is reportedly in the works for Sterling, The Burn reported.

The grocery store has filed paperwork with Loudoun County to take over a portion of the Regency furniture store’s space in the Potomac Run Plaza shopping center. Whole Foods will take up about 31,800 square feet of the property, leaving about 12,800 square feet for another tenant.

This new store would join a growing number of Whole Foods in our area. The brand opened a location in Reston in August and a Whole Foods “Daily Shop” — a smaller concept — in Crystal City in October.

There are currently 11 Whole Foods stores in Northern Virginia.

There is no word yet on when the new Sterling location would open.
