Metro launches anti-harassment campaign; Leesburg moves forward with Crescent Design District

Metro has launched an anti-harassment campaign in response to the fact that one out of every five Metro riders has experience some type of harassment on the system. (NBC 4 Washington)

The Leesburg Town Council has agreed to move forward with recommendations for the Crescent Design District, and reorganizing regulations into a set of objective standards to streamline legislative approval for zoning districts in the future. (Loudoun Times-Mirror)

George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School recently hired Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to teach a summer class, “Creation of the Constitution.” The appointment is causing controversy among students, and the course will not take place at the law school’s Arlington campus, but in England. (Fox 5 DC)

Reston is getting a new public art piece when the Reston Community Center debuts its newly renovated Terry L. Smith Aquatics Center in the fall. The mosaic artwork, by Valerie Theberge, will be on two large wall panels adjacent to the pool overlook area. (Reston Now)
