The Chain Bridge, which connects Arlington and Northwest Washington, has been closed due to icy conditions. After several crashes on the bridge, authorities have closed it in both directions. No timetable has been given for the bridge to reopen.

Construction could be starting soon on the new elementary school at the Reed School location in Westover, as the Arlington County board is expected vote on the project Saturday, Nov. 17. The goal is to open for the 2021-2022 school year.

More jobs are coming to the area, and not from Amazon. Government and commercial IT contractor 1901 Group will invest $4 million to expand its corporate offices in Reston, as well as its IT operations in Blacksburg, Virginia. This investment in the area will bring 225 jobs to Fairfax County by 2021.
