Fairfax County schools could see new dress code, more inclusive sex ed; Virtual reality used to soothe Mount Vernon Hospital patients

Thursday, proposals were made to the Fairfax County School Board calling the members to consider changing the dress code’s language so that it is more gender neutral—right now it prohibits exposed cleavage, but could be worded to prohibit exposure of “private areas” more generally—as well as making sex ed less about abstinence, but more about contraceptives and transgender issues.
