Alexandria Vice Mayor Justin Wilson has defeated Mayor Allison Silberberg. In Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, incumbent Rep. Barbara Comstock won the Republican primary and will go up against the Democratic primary winner, State Sen. Jennifer Wexton, in November.

Republican Corey Stewart has won the Virginia GOP primary and will race against U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine, a Democrat, in November.

Tuesday, AT&T was able to purchase Time Warner for $85 billion, per a federal judge’s approval, a corporate merger that may serve as an example in similar cases, such as those between Comcast and 21st Century Fox, and CVS and Aetna.

Arlington Transit bus passengers may still see service delays this week due to mechanical issues, but a county spokesperson said that service should soon return to normal as inspections and repairs ended on June 8.

Tysons Corner Center, 94.7 Fresh FM and The Washington Nationals are coming together to host a singing competition in which the top three winners will be be invited to perform at a July 20 Ocean Park Standoff Concert at Tysons Corner Center Plaza. A capella videos of contestants singing the national anthem should be submitted to [email protected] by July 6.

Saturday, the Arlington County Board will vote on whether the pop-up Crystal City one-room library, “The Connection,” will be able to extend its lease and allow it to stay put through Dec. 31, 2019. If the vote does not pass, the library will have to vacate the space by the end of the month.
