A 28-year-old Alexandria man named Mohamad Jamal Khweis will serve 20 years in prison for joining the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS). Using encrypted devices and phone applications for secure web browsing and messaging, Khweis traveled to Syria in December 2015. Upon joining ISIS, Khweis agreed to become a suicide bomber.
