James T. Hodgkinson, a 66-year-old man from Belleville, Illinois, was the man who shot and wounded four people, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, at an Alexandria baseball field Wednesday. Hodgkinson was shot by police and later died at George Washington University Hospital. Hodgkinson was reportedly living out of his car in the months leading up to the shooting, and police are asking residents who encountered the shooter for any information.
