Estimated 1 million DMV residents to travel for Memorial Day; Virginia legislature sees surge in women candidates

Roughly 1 million D.C.-area residents are expected to travel at least 50 miles for Memorial Day weekend, the highest in 12 years. Nine out of 10 of those travelers are expected to travel by car.
