Police investigate threatening emails sent at Virginia Tech; Metro rolls out Wi-Fi at six stations

Police are investigating emails sent to dozens of people on the Virginia Tech campus that threatened the campus’ safety. A similar email was also sent to someone at the College of William & Mary.

Metro is testing a new program that will equip six D.C. stations with Wi-Fi and a real-time map that displays where trains are on the rail system. Metro Center, Gallery Place, Judiciary Square, Union Station, Archives and L’Enfant Plaza will have Wi-Fi for 45 days, after which Metro will shut off the service and evaluate its performance.
