Old Town Alexandria has little something for everyone with restaurants, shopping, antiques and theaters. Come July 10, it will also have its own music festival.
Visit Alexandria announced Thursday that Old Town will be the epicenter for a 10-day music festival entitled Alexandria Live Music Week.
Running July 10-19, the festival will feature performances in 30 separate venues, including The Birchmere, Murphy’s Grand Irish Pub, The Fish Market, 219 Restaurant and the Old Town Farmers Market.
Among the top draws is a three-day set from The Bacon Brothers, a country rock group fronted by film star Kevin Bacon and his brother, Michael. The Bacon Brothers will perform at The Birchmere July 16, 17 and 18.
