First Friday at the Durant Arts Center will be a showcase of Mexican food, music and dance. Local restaurants El Tipico, El Paso, Los Tios Grill, Los Toltecos, San Antonio and Taqueria Poblano will offer authentic fare to kick off the evening, the Mobile Art Lab will host interactive activities and the Los Quetzales Mexican Dance Ensemble will perform. Port City is releasing their Mexican Dark Lager, Oscura, which is inspired by Mexico’s brown and amber lagers, and will present it at their celebration of Cinco de Mayo.
