A day to celebrate pies and math? We’re in! Pi Day was founded in 1988 by physicist Larry Shaw, a native Washingtonian. Given Pi begins with the numbers 3.14, it is celebrated every year on March 14. In recent years, bakeries have taken to the trend and celebrated all things pie related. Here are seven places that have mouthwatering offerings for Pi Day 2024.
Acme Pie Co.
Acme Pie Co. bakes pies daily in small batches. The shop has 7-inch and 10-inch pies. Typically, the store has eight to 12 flavors of dessert pies and a few savory options every day. There are even vegan options like blackberry with a hint of lime or apple with cranberry. Order in advance, if there is something specific you want. 2803 Columbia Pk., Arlington
